I've been helping Mal put his streetfighter back together which is 90% done but we have a breather pipe on the left hand side which comes from the crankcase near the water pump, it is about 5/8 dia & has a jubilee clip on the end so it has been fastened to something in the past but we don't know what !

It's on the left-hand side of the airbox, at the end nearest the battery.

I've just done the mod so it's fresh in my mind.

Rich is right......but I'd plug the hole in the airbox, get some new tubing (as the existing one is shaped to fit its routing) and put the tube from the breather into a catch tank but ensure that the catch tank has has a couple of breather holes in it.

BTW, you may want something neater if it will be visible but I plugged the hole with a whittled down plastic wine stopper.
