Laminar touring lip that sits on top of your screen acting like a double bubble? bit like a vario screen but is non adjustable, have aero screen fitted but still too much wind blast, so was looking for alternatives that didnt include slowing down!!! seen Laminar screen on ebay but bloody useless at trying to post a link!

laminar lip
I've got one for sale - no reasonable offer rejected. It didn't solve my problem - eventually I bought a low sport screen instead. I've a wacking great sidecar attached to my 1200 and I think the turbulence was made worse by that, so the lip didn't do the trick. So my laminar lip is for sale. It's only done about 20 miles. The spare set of tabs are unused. If you want to try it you can have it for much much less than the one on ebay - make me an offer if you're interested - it's just cluttering up the place.

MRA DB Screen is a lot cheaper than the plastic Lip.. and it is not likely to fall off. http://www.triumph-online.co.uk/screens-316-c.asp

screens
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with it - my experience is that adding height just increases the problem.

I have a Triumph flip up screen - it's OK but I'd like something wider. Head protection is fine but my shoulders get buffeted. I'm 6'2" tall so you may not suffer as I do. I guess I really want a 21st century Trophy...

I fitted a flip screen to my Sprint RS. I initially I liked it, but I eventually realised it created extra buffeting and made long journeys, literally, a pain in the neck. For that reason I've stayed with the original low screen on the ST.

I get on fine with the aero screen being a short arse at 5'8 but its the missus-5'10 that gets the wind blast when shes on the back. Saw the flip up on a demo bike at A1 and it looked more like a slightly taller D/Bubble than a flip up, so I'll find out and let you know when I get it and the sunshine comes back!!

It is more like a taller double bubble. I do a lot of 2 up touring and the missus is fine with the screen.... don't get her started on the pillion seat height though....

Yeh pillion seat height is a whole other issue which there seems to be nothing much that can be done about......except maybe a trade in for a ZZR1400!!

After a quick blast on sat, found new screen tends to put more wind blast on chest but a lot less on helmet if that makes any sense??!! which suits me fine, but then again it was quite a windy day, yet to try it 2up for the final verdict from she who must be obeyed!

That's my experience as well - still air round the head but some wind on the chest and shoulders. It does take some of the weight off your arms though. It's worse when it's blustery but if you duck down a bit it's a lot calmer. I think the screen is too narrow - I don't like the way it curves in at the base. BTW Sprinty my avatar pic was taken in Scarborough last year - lots of good roads round there!

You were a long way from home Brian, hope you had a good trip, yes we are really lucky with the amount of good roads, but none to the east unless you have a jet ski! and not too over policed, but they will be out in-force this weekend I bet.
