Search for "Carbon Mirrors Set HONDA CBR600RR " on ebay. You need to drill another hole through the fairing and support. Sounds more drastic than it really is. Bolt+ washers+nut through the bottom hole. Line the top hole up with the support, and drill through the fairing and support, and bolt it up. Works great. They fold up out the way for going through gates, and when your bike falls over, they don't snap off. The whole end of the mirror also pivots on a ball joint, really easy to adjust. Can now actually see behind me, and the blind spot over my shoulder is much smaller. Feel much more confident riding the bike now.

Hey Paddie, you got any pictures of those mirrors on the bike. Seem like a reasonable price to me.

I'll take some when I get home. The right one is a little scratched where the bike got knocked over yesterday, but it's all in one piece and attached to the bike. The OEM's would have snapped off.

Thanks Paddy, look good. Just one more thing - will the hole you drilled be covered when you put the originals back on?

Yes, the hole in the fairing would be covered by the original. The hole in the support comes about 1/2 way up the gap between the original hole, and the top of the support.

The ones I got supposedly for a GSXR K4 look stupid, might be wrong ones the angle of the mirrors looks totally rank. I'll put a set of these on my future shopping list, spent enough on the bike as it is.

Look good to me. The finish of the carbon effect pretty well matches the carbon effect on the intake-tube covers. They don't vibrate at all. They fold up nicely along the top of the fairing, so if you are tight for space, that helps. I have mine adjusted so that if there is a car directly behind me. I can see the car in BOTH mirrors. My elbows cover about 20% of the inside when I'm riding normally. They are also slightly convex, which reduces the blind spot a bit. I'm rather on the "wide" side so anyone else would probably have an even better view. When my bike fell over a couple of weeks ago, the mirror just folded up out the way. Scratch down the back which should pollish out, and the glass is still one piece. So that must say something as to the build quality. Bent the handle-bar, footpeg and put a hole in the clutch cover though... The originals would have been toast. You can see the scratch in Photo 2 of the gallery earlier in the chain. I've got mine mounted without any rubber between the base and fairing. The match with the curvature of the fairing is really good. Just one caveat though. This is my first bike, so don't have anything else to compare with sports-bike wise, but much-much better than the originals. Also better than any of the training bikes I did my test on.

Fireblade mirrors
I fitted CBR1000RR mirrors to my 955i some time ago, best mod ever. Standard black ones cost about £25 on ebay. Check my profile photos for some pictures I took whilst fitting the mirrors. The originals will go back on no probs and cover the hole that you have drilled. Cheers Steve

Paddy3101 Got my mirrors this morning ( same supplier as you) not fitted them yet, lack of time and suitable nuts & bolts, just for record they arrived about a week after I placed the order
