hello boys and girls, just joined up, Ah live in sunny perth with ma missis and baby girl zoe.........the rottweiler!!. Got a triple 2000 model early last year, any one close by???????

just bought a hoose last year, cheers anyway. well up for a blast anytime, were down near you callender way quite often. as for mid may, I'm off to the noth west on the 16th till the 18th, so caouldn't meet that weekend

I should have been heading to the NW200 also but the house move is around this time therefore everything is on hold.

Hi Davy, i'm in sunny Scone. Recently returned to Trumpets with a Speed Triple in black. I've been away from here for a wee while but shall be returning full time as of the noo.
Some very fine people on here, met Gus from Houston a couple of years back at Pitlochry. Big meet you understand........well, me Gus and my 11-year old son!!
Pop out to Scone sometime, kettles always on!

hello there. i am down in dumbarton. i am up for a meet any time. maybe somone could tell me whats up wi my bike. rough running at idle/low revs. bike been serviced and replaced coil packs and fuel pump. now checking for leaking vacuum pipes but no joy......

Still here and thoughts are turning to dragging the bike out of the garage and seeing if it still works!

Ross; More detail required. You'll find plenty of threads regarding poor idle and rough running in the "Problem Solving" sections. Anything from valve clearences to gubbed ecu could be at responsible... But there are plenty of knowledgeable people on here who will be willing to help.

Good to hear from you Gus. I have been off here for a wee while having swapped the RS for a VTR, also bought a VFR for me and Calum to tour on.
Had some great fun on the VTR, only used the VFR twice in the year. So decided to sell both last week, both bikes sold straight away. So...........bought myself, today, a 2002 Speed Triple.
Absolutely chuffed to bits with it, it's in black with loads of extras. When i work out how to add some pics I will!
Reason for changing to a less sporty bike, my 16-year old son just passed his CBT, so i take him out on his Reiju SX 50 and I take my XT 125.
I have decided to slow down a bit and set a good example. (ahem.....)
Anyway, I'm off to Skye on the first week in April to visit me dad, just for one night, so won't see you in May.
On call this weekend so no bike show for me. Do you think we could try for another Pitlochry meet, maybe Easter time Gus?

Will be taking the Speed Triple in to work tomorrow Davy, so look out for me. If roads too wet I will be on me XT 125, enjoying my youth all over again!
