Brit superman Neil Hodgson quickest of the boys at Daytona. On the pole, only second brit to manage such a feat. First was Paul Smart. Just a FYI from the colonies

I expect he got a tow

Good for him, I've always liked Hodgson, Mr NiceGuy.

I went to Daytona Speedway once and there was nobody there.

There were, however,a gazillion fat coves on garish motorbicycles wobbling around the streets of a nearby town.

Maybe they were lost ?

Maybe they had no desire to watch dashing young men risking life and limb as they performed impossible feats of derring' do on the sun kissed banks of the circuit.

Can't blame them really .. it must be much more fun to eat burgers and look at rows and rows of nearly identical velocipedes.

We wet to Daytona in 1995 for the racing, it was like stepping into an alternative universe. As you say the streets were lined with near identical Hardleys and we spent most of our time looking for something different. On the day of the 200 95% of the HD's disappeared and seemingly out of nowhere the sportsbikes appeared.
If you could cut through all the Hog related crap it was an enjoyable if bewildering experience.

Also worth mentioning that Chaz Davies is also on the front row.
