just doing the rear whell bearing for mot, and noicted there are only 2 washers onthe rear wheel. the manual saya thre should be 3 washers, am missing the flat one how important is this washer? could this be the reson for the excess bearing play(the needle rollors have got that lovely brown colour through.)

Andy, I had a similar problem, albiet that some muppet had put mine back together arse about face, this I found out after becoming a premeir member (small price to pay), and downloaded the pdf file drawings.
at the end of the day, Triumph must put them there for a reason, so why not do the job properly, I don't like taking any such risks by arguing with a design team when my safety is relying on such things as wheels staying where they should!

thought the same as you brought new washers, they wouldnt put them there for no reson. thanks for your help
