spring is here, hit 7,ooo mi. and agian i may have to change the clutch plates. i now have owned the bike for just over one year and replaced them at 3,200 mi. no wheelies, no burn-outs, don't ride the clutch and still have the original factory tire. the sounds coming from the transmission seem to have intesified and yet the dealer mechanic insists there is nothing wrong. has anyone else come across a similar situation. does anyone now if there is an after market company who sells clutch plates and springs. i would greatly appreciate any information. email direct at (rdbdrestoration@aol.com) or (restorationredb@aol.com) thanks, patrick

I'm amazed that you are still running the original tyre

Mine only has 1000 miles on it and I have had to adjust the clutch a couple of times. It would slip under load. That does not really concern me as much as shifting from 1-2. I am afraid there is something amiss in the transmission.

Barnett makes a clutch and Neville Lush in Oz makes a lock up clutch. Clutch slippage is usually not an issue with a stock setup. Are you using the correct oil and weight?
