Battery died over night on my modern the other day. So there's me on my way out to work with no time to spare as usual. Dragged the '72 Daytona out of the corner and it fires up first kick. Still don't know what killed the battery on the Tiger - only about a year old - and it did the same thing a couple of weeks ago but it's charged up and playing nicely again now. Simple technology wins again! I couldn't get by without a good old 'un in the shed.

Nice day here today, so going to fire up the bikes and take them out for a ride. High 40's with sunshine and clean roads from the heavy rains which fell the other day. The '76 Bonny starts right up, even after sitting for a few weeks during the very cold weather. It's nice to take a slow ride around and check out the road conditions after the winter and find the newest hazards. Aside from the usual runoff, we end up with lots of frost heave which can make for some uncomfortable "moments" at speed. Maybe I'll just leave the S.S. in the garage until April.

Picked up the paint for one of the Trident projects yesterday and am feeling like it is almost done. Norton sits idle in garage waiting for a new battery and the 70 tiger is still in the living room waiting for rain to wash the salt off of the roads, probably another month or two before it sees the light of day. I have decided not to do the second Trident project this year, so it will sit another season. Need Spring badly as it's been a long winter.
