Just thought I'd put something here for the sake of it. I love my Bonnie, she's a good old girl, she's fast(ish), comfortable, totally reliable, the brakes are excellent, and the electric start works perfectly... Oh... Hang on, I've got confused again haven't I? Okay so she's none of the above, she's still my favourite bike! I'm getting fond of the Sprint, but the Bonnie is a whole different kettle of fish. Okay, so she's got valve seat recession (again - new head!) the front hub has just decided to warp (again!) and the chains nearing the end of its life. She is however, beautiful!! Anyone want to argue?

The valve seat regression on my 1971 T100 was pretty bad too... but I'm glad that I kept the original head and got it reconditioned. I like old bikes as well as my RS. Goldies, Broughs, Vincents are all impressive pieces of machinery. What worries me about myself is that I can now see something in bikes like Velocette LEs, which I once thought were horrible. I'm slowly trying to put a pre-unit Triumph 6T engine together with the aim of building a Tribsa or Triton. If you've gota 9 stud <74 head surplus (even that needs valve seats replaced, unleadded ones can go in), I might be interested in buying it from you.

Mate was going to throw his over the wall at the tip!!! Luckily, I knew someone who was restoring one - we dumped it in his garage instead!!
